Chen Qingyi once taught mathematical and physical equations, generalized functions, nonlinear vibration, aerodynamics, quasilinear hyperbolic equations, mixed equations, topological linear spaces, general linear partial differential equations and other courses at Lanzhou University. Since 1978, he has also taught graduate students courses such as linear partial differential operators, differential manifolds, quasi-differential operators and Fourier integral operators.
Chen Qingyi has trained a large number of mathematical talents for the motherland. These talents include not only undergraduates, master students and doctoral students, but also many teachers from Northeast China, North China and Northwest China. For example, among the students who specialized in differential equations in 1960s, Luo Xuebo, Niu Peiping and Wang Mingliang were the backbones of differential equation research and teaching in the Department of Mathematics of Lanzhou University. In addition, Shao Shangen is the backbone of Daqing Petroleum Institute; Wen Ruqing is the backbone of Central South University of Technology; Zhou Shanyou is a key teacher in the Graduate School of China Academy of Sciences.
In addition to training a large number of undergraduates, Chen Qingyi has recruited 8 doctoral students and trained 33 master students, who play an important role in universities and scientific research departments. After obtaining the master's degree, Liu, the first master's student, went on to study for the doctor's degree of Professor Gu Chaohao of Fudan University, and obtained the doctor's degree starting with 1986. He is currently the deputy director of the Department of Mathematics of Shenzhen University. Yuan Jian, master graduate, graduated from 1986, and now works in the Department of Mathematics of Southwest Jiaotong University. His paper Planck Formula on Generalized Heisenberg Group Gn and Its Application was published in the third issue of Journal of Mathematics 1989. There are also many master students' papers published in Journal of Mathematical Physics, Mathematical Research and Review, and Partial.
1988 The four doctoral students who passed the defense in the first half of the year were An, Bo, Cui Shangbin. Under the guidance of their tutor Chen Qingyi and assistant tutor Luo Xuebo, they deeply studied the linear partial differential operators on Heisenberg Group and more general nilpotent Lie Group, and some of their achievements were published in Science Bulletin and Journal of Applied Mathematics.
