As of June 2022, the school has three campuses in Chengdu, namely Wuhou Campus, Airport Campus and Taipingyuan Campus. In Hongyuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, the "High-tech Research and Demonstration Base for Ecological Protection and Animal Husbandry in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau of Southwest University for Nationalities" has been built, covering an area of nearly 3,000 mu, with a school building area of1136,000 square meters.

By the end of 2065438+July 2009, the library of Southwest University for Nationalities had collected more than 9 million books (including electronic documents), more than 3 million Chinese and foreign paper books, nearly 2,000 paper newspapers, 40020GB electronic books and more than 26,000 kinds of electronic periodicals. There are more than 26,000 ancient books and documents, and more than 300,000 ethnic and related books and documents, including the Tripitaka Sutra and Baye Sutra in various languages and versions, local chronicles of southwest ethnic areas since the Qing Dynasty, and ethnic survey materials in the 1950s.
The library has a research center for ancient books and documents of ethnic minorities, which collects more than 50,000 copies of various versions of documents of more than 20 ethnic minorities, including Tibetan, Yi, Naxi, Dai, Shui, Kirgiz, Bai, Dong and Qiang. 85 electronic literature databases were purchased, and 3 self-built characteristic databases/kloc-0. Among them, the "Qiang Literature Database" was approved by the Ministry of Education as the key construction project of the characteristic literature resource database of the third phase of the national university literature guarantee construction system (Calis) and the scientific research project of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
