East China University of Political Science and Law is the first batch of institutions of higher learning of political science and law established in New China. The Ministry of Education and Shanghai * * * jointly established colleges and universities, which were selected as national projects to build high-level universities and key disciplines with characteristics.

The school has two campuses, Changning and Songjiang, covering an area of over 750,000 square meters. Students1more than 8,000, faculty 1300.
