Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University is a comprehensive teaching hospital under the Ministry of Health. Zhongshan Hospital was established in 1936. It was the first large general hospital managed by China people at that time. It belongs to the National Shanghai Medical College. In memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of the democratic revolution in China, it was named Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, and later renamed Sun Yat-sen Hospital. After liberation, it was called Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Shanghai First Medical College and Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Medical University, and it was renamed as 200 1.
