The predecessor of Sichuan Agricultural University is Sichuan Tongsheng Agricultural School, which was founded in 1906. It was merged into Sichuan University twice in 1927 and 1935. 1956, the Agricultural College of Sichuan University moved to Ya 'an, the former capital of Xikang Province, and established Sichuan Agricultural College. 1985, it was renamed Sichuan Agricultural University.
Sichuan Agricultural University has three campuses, namely, the headquarters campus in Ya 'an City, Sichuan Province, the Chengdu campus in Wenjiang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, and the Dujiangyan campus in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, with a total area of about 4,500 mu.
It has a complete education system for training bachelors, masters and doctors, with more than 44,000 full-time students, including more than 38,000 undergraduates and nearly 6,000 master's and doctoral students.
The school has 26 colleges, 15 research institutes and 76 undergraduate enrollment majors, covering agronomy, science, engineering, economics, management, medicine, literature, education, law, art, etc.
Conditions for junior college students to apply for Sichuan Agricultural University:
Two years or more after obtaining the nationally recognized diploma of higher vocational colleges (from graduation to September of the year of admission 1), reaching the equivalent academic ability of undergraduate graduates.
The equivalent academic qualifications of undergraduate graduates are: obtaining the examination results of the major undergraduate courses (the qualified score is more than 6 points) or publishing academic papers with the first author 1 article in journals above the provincial level.
