Since 1985, Xiamen University has continuously offered a series of courses on international economic law, including an introduction to international economic law, international trade law, international investment law, international monetary and financial law, international tax law, international maritime law, etc., which are compulsory courses for undergraduates majoring in international economic law. At the same time, "Introduction to International Economic Law" is offered as a compulsory or elective course for law majors and other undergraduates. Since 1998, according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, the course of "International Economic Law" is one of the basic courses for law undergraduates 14, with a series of in-depth courses of "International Economic Law" (namely, international investment law, international trade law, international monetary and financial law, international tax law and international maritime law) as the direction.
The international law major of Xiamen University, which belongs to the teaching team of this course, was approved as a national key discipline by the Ministry of Education in 2002. Professor Chen An, the academic leader, is currently the president of China Society of International Economic Law, which has great academic influence at home and abroad. Professor Zeng Huaqun was selected as the first batch of first-class and second-class candidates in the national "100 million talents project"; Professor Liao Yixin was selected as the "training object of outstanding talents across the century" by the Ministry of Education; Professor Xu Chongli won the "Young Teacher Award of Fok Ying Tung Education Fund"; Professor Li Guoan has made outstanding achievements in the field of international monetary and financial law. The teaching team of this course is a young and middle-aged academic group with strong stamina, good team spirit and tradition of collaborative research. The teaching team of this course has always attached importance to the construction of teaching materials. 1987 Series of Monographs on International Economic Law edited by Professor Chen An (including five books, such as International Trade Law, International Investment Law, International Monetary and Financial Law, International Tax Law and International Maritime Law, about160,000 words) was the first series of monographs on international economic law in China, and it was also our school and other universities at that time. 1988~ 199 1 and 1996~ 1998, the editorial department of the law textbook of the Ministry of Justice has successively compiled two sets of university law textbooks, International Economic Law Series, in which Professor Chen An, Professor Zeng Huaqun and Professor Liao Yixin respectively served as an Introduction to International Economic Law. 1999 to 2002, the series of monographs on international economic law edited by Professor Chen An (including five new editions of International Trade Law, International Investment Law, International Monetary and Financial Law, International Tax Law and International Maritime Law, with about 3 million words) and the monographs on international economic law compiled by the first batch of graduate students in China are.

The teaching and research of civil and commercial law in Xiamen University has experienced 80 years of historical storms and accumulated 80 years. It has become an important research and talent training base of civil and commercial law in China.
At the beginning of Xiamen University 1926 project, civil law showed strong teaching and scientific research strength, and gathered many law masters who were well versed in China and the West, such as Professor Chen Chaobi, Professor Ke, Professor Li Jingxi. In 1930s, Professor Li Jingxi translated the Japanese version of Roman Twelve Copper Watch Law into Chinese and introduced it to China. Principles of Roman Law (1937) written by Mr. Chen Chaobi was adopted as a teaching material by domestic universities at that time.
