Chinese college students' mathematics competition was held in 2009. As a national high-level discipline competition for undergraduates, CMC provides a stage for young students to show their basic mathematical skills and mathematical thinking.
The course of the competition is divided into two stages. The first stage is the preliminary contest of the national college students' mathematics competition (also known as the preliminary contest), which is usually held on 10 or Saturday in the third or fourth week of each year; The second stage is to participate in the finals of the national college mathematics competition, usually in the third week or the fourth week of March of the following year.
The national college students' mathematics competitions are divided into non-mathematics professional competitions and mathematics professional competitions. The preliminary and final questions are organized by the National College Students' Mathematics Competition Committee, but the course contents covered by the preliminary and final questions are slightly different.
1. coverage of preliminary examination questions:
Non-mathematics major: the content of the competition is advanced mathematics for undergraduate science and engineering majors, including elective content.
Mathematics major: the content of the competition is the basic course of mathematics in the undergraduate stage of mathematics major. * * * contains three courses, accounting for about 50% of mathematical analysis, 35% of advanced algebra and 15% of analytic geometry.
2. The coverage of the preliminary examination questions:
Non-mathematics major: the content of the final exam and the approximate score ratio are: advanced mathematics accounts for 80%, linear algebra accounts for 20%.
Mathematics major: add ordinary differential equations on the basis of the initial test content.
3. Awards and certificates: The National Undergraduate Mathematics Competition (divided into provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions) has a preliminary prize and a final prize. The preliminaries and finals will be awarded according to mathematics majors and non-mathematics majors, and the first, second and third prizes will be set.
