Parents' college situation
Guang Lao's point of view: Guang Lao was born in the 1970s and worked in a university for more than 30 years. He thinks this sentence is a bit biased. In our time, college students and doctoral students are relatively scarce talents. Many people in our time have never been to school, and many people who graduated from primary school can't get into junior high school. Less than 30% of junior high school students can be admitted to high school, less than 10% of senior high school students can be admitted to universities, and universities can be admitted. Only 5% of the master students get their doctorates, but now the number of college students is 100 times that of our time. By comparison, we can know what kind of talents the doctoral students in our time are, how much responsibility they bear in society, and how busy they are at work and study, so the proportion of time they really spend on romance is very low. At that time, the criteria for choosing a marriage partner (paying attention to the marriage partner and not considering emotional problems) were very different from those of modern people. But our generation also tells young people that marriage is more about tolerance, mutual support, feelings and looks, which are really nothing in marriage and family. Wisdom and ability are the cornerstones of marriage.
