Sun Yat-sen University, referred to as CUHK for short, is a comprehensive key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is also a national key university under the "985 Project" and "21Project" and "Everest Plan", "1Plan" and "Excellence Law".

The predecessor of Sun Yat-sen University was the National Guangdong University founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924. 1926 was named National Sun Yat-sen University. 200 1 10 was approved by the central government, and 65438-0952 was the merger of Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences.
