Suzhou University, located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is one of the national key universities directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). Founded in 1900, the school is one of the birthplaces of modern higher education in China and was once the predecessor of Soochow University. 1952 was renamed Suzhou medical college, and 1995 was renamed Suzhou university, becoming one of the first universities authorized by master's and doctoral degrees in China.

Suzhou University currently has three campuses: headquarters campus, Wenzhi campus and Dushu Lake campus, with a total land area of nearly 4,000 mu and a total construction area of over 6,543.8+0,000 square meters. There are 20 colleges under the school, covering arts, science, engineering, medicine, management, law, teaching, art and other disciplines.
