Education in Krasnoyarsk
Turk is one of the educational centers in Siberia, second only to Novosibirsk in scale. There are more than 30 institutions of higher learning (mostly branches of Russian Academy of Sciences) and about 200 middle schools. The most important institutions are:

Siberian Federal University (abbreviated as кгу in Russian), founded in 1963, was originally a branch of Novosibirsk State University, and became independent in 1969, and was later renamed Krasnoyarsk State University.

Krasnoyarsk State University of Science and Technology (Russian abbreviation кгту) was founded in 1956.

Krasnoyarsk National Normal University (Russian abbreviation кгпт) was founded in 1932.

Siberian National University of Science and Technology (Russian abbreviation скбдтт) was founded in 1930, formerly known as Siberian Forestry Institute. It is the oldest institution in the city, Sukachev Forestry Institute, which was founded in 1944.

In addition, there are Krasnoyarsk University, Krasnoyarsk Agricultural University, Krasnoyarsk Art College, Nonferrous Metals and Gold College, Business School, School of Architecture and Engineering, Medical College, Teachers College, Engineering College, Siberian Academy of Fine Arts, Siberian Aviation College and Siberian Waterway Engineering College.

Like Novosibirsk, a science city was established in the city. Among them, from 65438 to 0973 to 85, the Institute of Biophysics successfully conducted experiments similar to the American Biosphere 2 (called Bios).
