1896 Sheng Xuanhuai founded Nanyang public school in Shanghai; At 192 1, it was named jiaotong university; 1956 jiaotong university moved to Xi' an; 1957 is divided into two parts, Xi 'an and Shanghai Jiaotong University, with unified leadership; 1959, Xi 'an Campus of Jiaotong University was renamed Xi Jiaotong University.
