Fuzhou University, short for Duff, was founded in 1958. It is one of the three key high-level universities in Fujian Province, which are jointly established by the National "World-class Discipline Construction University", the National "2 1 1 Project", the Ministry of Education, the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Fujian Provincial People's Government.

Fuzhou University was founded in 1958, and its campus is located on the bank of Minjiang River in the western suburb of Fuzhou. Adhering to the guiding principle of combining science with engineering and multidisciplinary development, Fuzhou University has set up nine departments, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, radio engineering, civil engineering, mining and metallurgical engineering, which are divided into mathematics, computational mathematics, physics, radio technology, machinery manufacturing technology and equipment, casting, power grid and power system of power plants, motors and electrical appliances.
