Electronic information engineering, commonly known as "radio" major, belongs to the School of Information Science and Technology or the Department of Electronic Engineering. Radio mainly studies the ubiquitous but invisible wonderful field-electromagnetic waves. Although this major has a long history among all majors in modern universities, there is no sign of decline now, but it is getting more and more prosperous.

In the past century, the technology that developed the fastest and brought the greatest change to our lives was probably electronic science. As long as you take out a few internationally renowned electronics companies, it is easy to see how important this technology has played in promoting global economic development. Famous International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), Motorola Company (Motorola), Siemens Company (Siemens), etc., the outstanding performance of these companies is also one of the manifestations of the vigorous development of electronic technology.

Such a hot major certainly means fierce competition. In almost all universities offering this major, electronic information engineering is one of the majors with the highest scores. At the same time, students majoring in electronic information engineering are also the best, the most diligent and the most tired. Why? Because there are many courses in this major, it is difficult and stressful. Many core courses are famous for being difficult to understand, rich in content, flexible to master and strong in application. The most important courses such as signal and system, stochastic process, modern communication principle and digital signal processing are quite difficult. Students need to have a solid foundation in mathematics and physics, strong understanding ability, logical thinking ability and skilled application ability of knowledge to digest and absorb. At the same time, the development of electronic technology is changing with each passing day. In order to keep up with the development of the times, it can be said that we should constantly supplement new knowledge. Open the enrollment brochure, almost all universities of science and engineering have this major, among which Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xi Jiaotong University, National University of Defense Technology, and xidian university's "Radio" major have a long-standing reputation, and it is also quite difficult to apply. Other smaller schools, such as Beijing Information Science and Technology University and Chengdu University of Electronic Technology, have a good reputation for this major. If some students are particularly suitable for this major (for example, poor grades in Chinese and foreign languages lead to low overall scores, but strong abstract thinking) and are not sure about applying for prestigious schools, these schools are also good choices.
