Jiangsu Institute of Technology, referred to as Jiangsu Institute of Technology, is located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It was established by Jiangsu Provincial Education Department and Changzhou Municipal People's Government. The school is a master's degree awarding unit, an excellent unit for undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of Education, and a pilot unit for postgraduate training of "Serving the National Training Plan for Talents with Special Needs".
The predecessor of the school is Changzhou Vocational Teachers College, which was founded in 1984. 1987 was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Changzhou Technical Teachers College. In 2002, it was renamed Jiangsu Teachers College of Technology, and in 20 12, it was renamed Jiangsu Institute of Technology.
