There are four kinds of university management systems in China: the administrative levels of public undergraduate universities are deputy ministerial level and ministerial level, except for 365 and 438+0 universities which are deputy ministerial level (all deputy ministerial level universities are subordinate universities), most of them are ministerial level (department).

1. Subordinate universities: managed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with party secretary and president appointed by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council respectively. As of June 5438+ 10, 2005, there were only 3 1 deputy ministerial-level universities in China, plus 32 deputy military-level universities of national defense technology. For example: Tsinghua University, Peking University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, etc.

2. Colleges and universities directly under the Ministry of Education: school leaders and leading bodies are managed and appointed by the party group of the Ministry of Education. For example: East China Normal University, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, China University of Mining and Technology, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Wuhan University of Technology, Huazhong Normal University, etc.

3. Provincial director-level (bureau) colleges and universities: that is, colleges and universities managed by provincial party committees and provincial governments. The leading bodies and cadres of the schools are appointed, removed and managed by the provincial party committees and municipal committees directly under the Central Government (the level is the same as that of the two ministries and commissions). For example: Hebei Normal University, Shanxi University, Shanghai University, Northwest University, Suzhou University, Zhengzhou University, Nanjing Normal University, Shandong Normal University, Fujian Normal University, Zhejiang University of Technology, Beijing University of Technology, Three Gorges University, Yunnan University, Inner Mongolia University of Technology, etc. Most of them are "2 1 1 project" national key universities of the Ministry of Education and the provincial people's government.
