The 16th Academician Conference of China Academy of Sciences and the 11th Academician Conference of China Academy of Engineering were grandly opened in Beijing yesterday. The meeting revealed that China Academy of Sciences has 6 departments, including 723 academicians and 64 foreign academicians. China Institute of Engineering has 9 departments, including 774 academicians and 4/kloc-0 foreign academicians.

How many "Yangzhou academicians" should be included has always been controversial. There are more than 50 people and more than 60 people. There is no authoritative standard recognized by many parties. This time, many meetings have been held to prepare for the establishment of the Yangzhou Academician Pavilion, and the Municipal Association for Science and Technology, the Municipal Education Bureau, Yangzhou Middle School, Xinhua Middle School, Yang Da Senior Middle School and other units have been invited to conduct special studies to determine the selection criteria for Yangzhou Academician.
