Cai Haitao 1957 graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Wuhan University, and studied under Professor Li Guoping, academician of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of China Academy of Sciences, and Professor Lu Jianke of the Department of Mathematics of Wuhan University. After graduation, I have been engaged in teaching and scientific research for a long time in colleges and universities. He and the professor wrote Quasi-Analytic Function Theory (Wuhan University Press, 1983), and Professor Lu Jianke wrote An Introduction to the Period of Elasticity Theory (Wuhan University Press, 2008). These two monographs summarize the research results of two professors in related fields respectively. Cai has published monograph 10, published more than 100 papers, and trained 52 master students and 2 doctoral students.

He also participated in the formulation of social and economic development plans and county and city plans in Hunan Province in 2000. Member of the expert group of projects such as "Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Delta Economic Development Plan" and "Research on Food Structure in Hunan Province"; Put forward the idea of building South China Economic Zone as a reference document for leaders of Hunan Province (Hunan Economic Information 199 1). Professor Cai Haitao's research in system engineering is systematic, consistent and pioneering.
