Yanhu (Chengdu University of Technology), located in the campus of Chengdu University of Technology, is an on-campus lake integrating natural scenery and human landscape, and integrating culture, study and leisure. 1956 At the beginning of Chengdu University of Technology, teachers and students built an artificial lake according to the terrain at that time. The water source comes from Dongfeng Canal in the east of Chengdu, and the lake water is living water. The lake area is about 100 mu, and the whole lake area is an east-west cuboid, which is divided into a big lake and a small lake. There is a small artificial waterfall at the junction of the small lake and the big lake. The water flows from the small lake to the big lake, which looks like the "square inkstone" in China from a height. According to the shape of the lake, it was named "inkstone lake" in 2002. There are two small islands in the middle of the lake, such as Poetry Island and Book Island, as well as Xinqiao, Quqiao, Longqing Pavilion (in memory of Professor Qin Long), Chengsan Pavilion (in memory of Professor Li Chengsan), Pavilion (in memory of Professor Bian) and Ruxu Pavilion. The inkstone lake has become one of the symbols of Chengdu University of Technology, so the first lyric in the school song of Chengdu University of Technology is "The inkstone lake is vast and the garden is grey", and cultural and campus activities such as "Autumn of inkstone lake" and "Symposium on inkstone lake" are held regularly. Every week, students spontaneously hold activities such as Japanese corner in the middle of the lake island, which is very popular with everyone.
