First of all, regardless of ranking or strength, Shanda is higher than Yanshan.
Secondly, the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shandong University has a strong strength, and its faculty, experimental equipment and scientific research strength are second to none among the engineering departments of Shandong University, and it is one of the earliest established colleges.
Strength: The college has a postdoctoral mobile station of mechanical engineering, a first-class doctoral program of mechanical engineering, and four doctoral programs of two disciplines: mechanical manufacturing and automation, mechanical design and theory, mechanical electronic engineering and vehicle engineering. There are 8 master's programs in two disciplines: mechanical manufacturing and automation, manufacturing system information engineering, mechatronics engineering, mechanical design and theory, vehicle engineering, process equipment and control engineering, design art and master of engineering in mechanical engineering. There are four undergraduate majors: mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, vehicle engineering, process equipment and control engineering and industrial design. "Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation" is a provincial key discipline and a key construction discipline of "2 1 1 engineering". The college has established a complete bachelor-master-doctor-postdoctoral talent training system.
Faculty: Academician of China Academy of Engineering 1 person, 42 professors, 20 doctoral supervisors and 47 associate professors. There are 55 teachers with master's degrees, and 6/kloc-0 teachers with doctoral degrees and those who are studying for doctoral degrees.
Scientific research strength: the college has five departments: manufacturing engineering department, design engineering department, vehicle engineering department, equipment and control engineering department and industrial design department. The Department of Manufacturing Engineering has three research institutes: mechanical manufacturing and automation, CAD/CAM and electromechanical engineering. The Department of Design Engineering has two research institutes: Mechanical Design and Theory, Engineering Graphics and CAD Experiment Center. Institute of Vehicle Engineering, Department of Vehicle Engineering; Institute of Process Equipment and Control Engineering; Department of Equipment and Control Engineering; The Department of Industrial Design has the Institute of Modern Industrial Design. The college now has the provincial key laboratory of CAD; Shandong CAD Engineering Technology Center, Shandong Stone Engineering Technology Center and Shandong Metallurgical Equipment Digital Engineering Technology Center are three provincial engineering technology centers. Key Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Research Center of Sustainable Manufacturing Technology of Shandong University, Research Center of Advanced Jet Engineering Technology, Research Center of Virtual Engineering, Research Center of Building Materials and Construction Machinery, Research Center of Numerical Control Technology, Research Center of Safety Assurance and Evaluation of Special Equipment, and Research Center of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Technology; Vibration shock and noise control laboratory, CIMS laboratory, biomass energy technology development center, manufacturing information research center, digital manufacturing technology research center and other laboratories. The experimental management center of the college consists of mechanical design, manufacturing and automation laboratory, vehicle engineering laboratory, process equipment and control engineering laboratory, industrial design laboratory, mechanical foundation laboratory and mechanical engineering innovation comprehensive laboratory. At present, the hospital has scientific research and experimental instruments and equipment that basically meet the needs of undergraduate teaching, doctoral training and scientific research, including advanced precision processing equipment worth more than one million yuan, large-scale high-precision electronic measuring instruments and various experimental platforms.
