Brief introduction of China West Normal University
China West Normal University is a key university in Sichuan Province. The school was founded in 1946, and its predecessor was War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's National Northeastern University. At the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved to Santai County, Sichuan Province. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Northeastern University moved back to Shenyang. With the support of Shiyanchang in 36 counties in northern Sichuan and people of insight from all walks of life, some Sichuan teachers and students of Northeastern University established a private North Sichuan Agricultural and Industrial College in Santai.
1949 Private North Sichuan A&M University merged with Xishan College founded by Mr. Wu, a famous Mohist, to form private North Sichuan University. 1950, the school moved to Nanchong and merged with North Sichuan College of Literature to form a public North Sichuan University. 1952 The school merged some majors of East Sichuan Institute of Education (College of Rural Construction), Sichuan University and West China University to form Sichuan Normal University.
