Do students need to apply for a temporary residence permit to take a driver's license test?
Students who have reached the age of 18 can take a driver's license. Now they don't need a temporary residence permit to take a driver's license.

Article 19 of the new regulation, which came into effect in April 2006 1 and 2065438, is clearly written. The driver's license test only needs ID card and physical condition certificate.

The Decision of the Ministry of Public Security on Amending the Order of the Ministry of Public Security, which was adopted at the ministerial meeting of the Ministry of Public Security, is hereby promulgated and shall come into force as of April 20, 2006.

Article 19 To apply for a motor vehicle driver's license for the first time, an application form shall be filled in and the following documents shall be submitted:

(1) the identity certificate of the applicant;

(2) physical condition certificate issued by medical institutions at or above the county level or at the regimental level.
