Jingdezhen Ceramic University is the only multidisciplinary university named after ceramics in China. It is one of the first batch of 365 and 438+0 independent undergraduate course art colleges in China, and one of the 94 colleges and universities that have won the China government scholarship to recruit overseas students. It is one of the key universities supported by the basic capacity-building project of universities in the central and western regions, the universities with excellent engineer education and training plan of the Ministry of Education, the demonstration universities with deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform of the Ministry of Education, the national universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, the first batch of pilot universities for transformation and development, and the first-class discipline construction universities in Jiangxi Province.
By March 2022, the school had three campuses in Hu Xiang, Xinchang and China Institute of Light Industry Ceramics and a ceramic training park, covering an area of 1970 mu and a construction area of nearly 700,000 square meters. There are 12 teaching colleges (departments and departments), 59 undergraduate majors, 3 first-class doctoral programs, 13 first-class master programs and 8 professional master programs. There are 946 full-time teachers and more than 20,000 full-time students, including nearly 2,000 graduate students and doctoral students.

Jingdezhen, alias "Porcelain Capital", is a prefecture-level city in Jiangxi Province, which is located in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, bordering dongzhi county in Anhui Province in the northwest, Wannian County in the south, Poyang County in the west, Qimen County in Anhui Province in the northeast and Wuyuan County in the southeast. It is located between east longitude116 57'-17 42' and north latitude 28 44'-29 56', with a total area of 5,256 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 2 municipal districts, 1 county-level city and 1 county.
Jingdezhen was founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, formerly known as "Changnan", and renamed as "Xinping" in the Han Dynasty, which governs Jiangzhou. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), it was renamed as "Floating Beam"; In the first year of Jingdezhen in Zhao Heng in the Northern Song Dynasty, it was named "Jingdezhen" and was under the jurisdiction of Fuliang County; After liberation, from Fuliang County, Jingdezhen City was established; 1960, Fuliang County was merged into Jingdezhen City.
Jingdezhen is the world porcelain capital, the cradle of China helicopter industry, the first batch of national historical and cultural cities, the world handicraft and folk art capital, the most attractive cultural tourism city in China, and the national ecological civilization construction demonstration city.
