Sichuan University Archives (School History Office) is a functional department that organizes, coordinates and manages school archives management and school history work, a business department that provides archives information services for teachers, students and society, and a specialized institution that conducts school history research, exhibition and education. The Sichuan University Archives was formed by merging the former Sichuan University Archives established by 1987, the former Chengdu University of Technology Comprehensive Archives established by 199 1 and the former West China University of Medical Sciences Archives established by 1986.
At present, Sichuan University Archives is formed by merging the former Sichuan University Archives (1987), the former Chengdu University of Technology Comprehensive Archives (199 1) and the former West China University of Medical Sciences Archives (1986), and 1998 has reached the first-class national archives management standard.
Sichuan University History Office was established in 1984 (formerly known as Sichuan University History Working Committee Office), with the aim of "preserving history, providing resources, researching and educating people". At present, there are 6 full-time staff and 3 school history consultants. The Cultural Research Center of Sichuan University is also located in this museum.
