Mencius, a Confucian, talks about cultivating qi-"I am good at cultivating my noble spirit", which is actually about cultivating Buddha.
What does "raise" mean? Is to pretend to be true. Get rid of paranoia and paranoia, and you can "be yourself"; This truth was later called "true qi".
Today, we have learned about the three energies involved in monasticism. In ancient times, it was called "qi", but it was not "qi". These three gases are quite different. Acrobatics and qigong can only be used to "defend qi", which can strengthen the body, but not be regarded as internal work. Practice martial arts and internal boxing, make efforts to "go out of the abdomen" and adjust your strength. We can only adjust the "essence", also called glory; Only by building roads can the "true spirit" be finally restored.
◎ Lao Tzu said, First, everything is finished. The so-called one, the innate truth, the so-called essence of heaven and earth, is hidden in the house of Yin and Yang. Why did you keep it? He also said: be careful and be close to the outside world. -"South China True Classics, Vice Ink"
The "innate qi" here is the qi.
The true qi does not come from the lower abdomen, but from the sea of qi. When "meaning" and "spirit" meet to stimulate the clay pill, the true qi comes at this time, which is called "meeting the spirit to flush the clay pill", and then the Taoist priest formally repairs the pulse (midvein), which is called "the true qi returns to the middle". When the true qi appears, it will automatically enter the midvein. At this time, monks will enter the law of inaction and be regarded as the "way of cultivation." This is its secret, this is a secret.
What most people don't understand is that every step of monasticism has its own practice method, verification and theory, which is absolutely strict and insurmountable. I don't know how to interpret Taoism's "inaction" as "inaction" I can only make an inappropriate metaphor, such as two people quarreling. People with too low a level must lower the level of a higher level to the same level as him before they can say a few words with each other. The real inaction is what the master does, so we should "do nothing" and "let nature take its course" and explain ourselves.
◎ Wise people do not take positions as things, brave people do not take positions as violence, and benevolent people do not discuss positions as problems, which can be described as inaction. -"Huai Nan Zi Yan Quan Chuan"
◎ The so-called inaction is not the first; The so-called inaction, because of things. 1 1. "Huai Nan Zi Yuan Dao Xun"
Inaction does not mean stagnation, so it is not self-nature. -"Huai Nan Zi Zhu Shu Xun"
Now, we already know how to open two orifices-the abdomen of the heart and the jade pillow of the heart.
"Zhan Zhonghui" opens the upper abdomen between the eyes and eyebrows; Close your chin, "clear your head" and "control the white cow" and open the jade pillow.
So, what about our tongues? Small tongue; When the pulse stops, we will return to nature. In the "virtual silence" of complete concentration, the cathode is alive, and the spirit meets the god-the spirit and the god automatically merge into a common mud pill, which is to officially open the mud pill. After the impact, there will be something. You feel it on purpose, and it's gone. You can't feel it, just like something-this is what Tao said in Tao Te Ching, "Tao is a thing, but it's just a trance." It's embarrassing, and elephants. I was in a daze, and there was something inside. Subtle and essential; Its essence is true, and there is a letter in it. "There is essence in it" is this thing, which was later called "true qi" and "true essence". Based on the role of the universe itself, it is also called "innate qi". This thing is "trance, trance". Not if you think about it. Forget it, it will come out. It will automatically enter the midvein and walk in the midvein.
This is the method and secret of showing the true qi.
So what should I do after I have achieved "true qi"?
If you want to do nothing, you will lose your thoughts if you don't want to, and you will lose your thoughts if you move. So you should "cultivate" the true qi and learn from Mencius' "I am good at cultivating my noble spirit". How to raise it? False and true. So how can we do it? When you meditate, you roll your tongue and choke your throat, grit your teeth, stop your pulse (stay in meditation), and turn your thoughts into ideas. This is the trick.
The importance of breathing
I'll stay here with you first. Then we practice, whether you are a Buddha, a Taoist or a Confucian, we must master the "stopping method"; Breath refers to the breath of monks, which can't be said yet. Our breath mainly deals with oxygen in the air and reaches the lungs and above the diaphragm in one breath. Zhuangzi said: "The anger of real people, the heel of the heel, and the anger of everyone are all in the throat." This is called "wind" in Buddhism. So now we should practice breathing, so as to "inhale from the wind" and finally "stop breathing" and really settle down. If you enter the practice of inaction, you enter the gate of the avenue.
When you meditate, learn to meditate. The news is in the corridor. Breathe in secret and cut in one by one. -"Zhang Sanfeng Taiji alchemy secret Zen song"
Now, when we practice, don't breathe evenly. What is average breathing? Suck three times and spit three times; One, two, three, inhale, one, two, three, vomit. Don't practice like this, you can't practice kung fu.
When we practice, we should practice "differential breathing" This "differential breathing method" is called "safe practice" in Buddhism. What we are practicing now is poor breathing, that is, long breathing and short breathing, regardless of the brain; Or conversely, breathe for a long time and breathe for a short time. Now we have to learn these two methods, that is, absorb long positions and short positions. Ancient monasticism was called "Ascending Yang Method". Long-term inhalation and short-term inhalation, ancient monasticism is called "Yin-lowering method", which is very important.
In specific exercises, start to inhale three times, inhale slowly four times and inhale slowly five times, but be natural and don't hold your breath. At present, we can't talk about "practicing breathing", but this is "practicing wind". In a word, we should not breathe calmly as usual, but breathe differently. This is why monks who practiced breathing were called "practitioners" in ancient times.
Differential breathing is very important. If we breathe three times and breathe three times, there is basically no therapeutic effect, and even practicing Qigong has no effect. Then all positive diseases, sun disease, shaoyang disease, such as fever, blushing, and positive first pulse, are treated with the method of long call and short suction; All negative diseases, such as shaoyin disease and jueyin disease, are pale and afraid of cold, so we will call them for practice treatment through long suction and short suction. Therefore, if we have high blood pressure, we will give priority to breathing; Hypotension is mainly caused by inhalation-pay more attention to breathing when practicing Neidan.
When you are calm, you must first hold your breath. Those who stopped breathing, one of the ladies took a breath, a breath was not international, and a breath continued. Today, I was born in one breath, but the rest was suppressed, and the rest was suppressed again, so it continued slowly and long. Don't be tempted to suppress interest. If you are tempted, you will be tempted by interests. If interest doesn't stop, your heart will move. -"Jade Tsinghua Secret Wen Jinbao Inner Dan Tactics"
Now some people in the park practice breathing, which is called "breathing". I saw someone practicing in Ditan and Tiantan Park. This method is to extend smoking time and then give up smoking. Doing this is equivalent to doing "aerobic exercise" inside the human body. Doing this will generate heat in the body, and cancer cells are afraid of heat, so cancer cells cannot survive at a specific temperature; Moreover, we know that "defending qi" can be guided by ideas, and defending qi and defending qi can protect our bodies. Then, if we extend the time of inhalation and breathing, and then keep the corresponding patient parts, we can increase the temperature of a certain part of the body.
It turns out that I once opened a cancer prevention hospital for seven years. At that time, I was also the dean of the hospital, and this method was used for cancer prevention and treatment. It is effective to use breathing correctly, such as breathing and stopping, and then moving my feet.
1957 There is a revolutionary love movie, which was once all the rage. This is a famous work by actress Tao Yuling, who plays the second sister of the heroine. Therefore, Tao Yuling became the "red lover" of China audience in 1950s and 1960s. Tao Yuling became famous, but later she got oral cancer and breast cancer when she was young, so she practiced this-"breath stop"; Now, she may be over seventy years old, and she still introduces this kind of "sniffing" on TV! She is a smart person. She is really practicing. As a result, she has mastered her life.
Tomorrow we will officially teach "taking medicine and alchemy" That's what we use when we "collect medicine", this method of prolonging smoking. Practicing breathing means practicing breathing control. Breathing should be even, thin, deep and long, long and short, or short and long.
When we practice monasticism, we must first practice and practice the "wind"; Finally, you can reach the level of "stop", which is the way to train "stop". At first, I practiced meditation. I breathe twice a minute and then I stop breathing for eight or nine minutes. So Chairman Mao swims in the Yangtze River. Isn't he floating? That's how he uses it. He took a deep breath, held it, and then people floated on the water. It turned out that there was a foreign professor from yenching university in Kunming Lake, the lake in the Summer Palace. He could lie on the water and read newspapers and smoke, just holding his breath and grabbing a breath. From this method, he gradually "stopped".
The ultimate goal of our breathing practice is to "stop breathing", that is, breathing through pores and cooperating with our thoughts can achieve "stop breathing and stop pulse", and then it is really settled.
◎ Zhang Sanfeng pointed out in his "Talks on the Avenue": Breathing the breeze the day after tomorrow will make real people breathe. Therefore, the most important thing to practice "holding your breath" and "stopping breathing" is to conform to nature and let your breathing adjust itself. As long as a monk keeps quiet, when your breath really comes out, you will naturally "stop breathing".
When we practice Buddhism, we must practice breathing, so we must hold our breath first. Holding your breath is called "holding your breath" in monasticism. Hold your breath, that is, when you put a thread into the eye of a needle, hold your breath and don't breathe. This is called "hold your breath"; But holding your breath can only be regarded as "quiet", not "concentration". Only by stopping breathing and breathing through pores can you really concentrate.
Now, everyone should be a "practitioner of Qi", specializing in breathing, that is, the method of breathing. Buddhism calls it "the practice of keeping an image", which is "the practice of keeping an image"; Taoism, called breathing.
When we first practice deep breathing, we need to "stand upright", that is, adjust our posture. As we said before, what is the purpose of being a man? You don't have to be straight, you don't have to adjust your posture. In this way, you can stand upright for a long time, and your posture is adjusted correctly and in place. To tell the truth, when you are in place, you will feel that any chair back is redundant, and you don't like to lift your legs and cross your legs because the veins are connected. When we start practicing, we have to talk about standing upright and adjusting our posture. Because we are not straight, the pipeline is blocked, and the pulse is blocked, the purpose of adjusting our posture is to let the pulse pass.
Now let's review the "Seven Blocks" and its 26 main points. From the truth of being a man, health is not only health preservation, but also life. If you can keep healthy, you will certainly live in the world.
Why? People care about honesty. Although he can't reach "concentration", at least he is "quiet". It's too quiet. It's far away. In such a very calm mood, people are very rational. Treating people, making decisions and making overall plans for employment are all clear-headed.
Therefore, we have a principle of being a man when we join the WTO, that is, you should not make any decisions when you are excited-for example, you should sign an agreement with others, invest or not, and decide whether to go to this place or not. Static energy can lead to stability and wisdom, so we say that only by staying healthy can we be a man and live in the world; People who know how to live will keep fit, that's what it means.
When I think that my life is in vain, I think that those who are restless on weekdays are all ears, and I am eager to give up. It's been a long time Husband's delusion is greater than his anger, but when he is angry, he will not be angry when he thinks about it. When he is happy, he will be happy when he knows how to suppress it. Everything is natural and quiet for a long time. -"Jade Tsinghua Secret Wen Jinbao Inner Dan Tactics"
Buddha Sakyamuni talked about Buddhism for forty-nine years. Finally, he said to his disciples: I tell you the truth, I have talked all my life and said nothing.
(See "Diamond Sutra": "If someone says that the Tathagata is blasphemous, it cannot explain what I said. Sublime! The speaker is a famous saying beyond words. " At that time, some disciples understood this, while others did not.
His disciple Ananda later asked, "Your old man has been talking for forty-nine years and hasn't said anything yet. What will you do after you leave? Who should we ask for advice? " Buddha said, "Take the awakened one as a teacher." Is to learn from the enlightened.
Later, we changed this "taking the awakened one as the teacher" to "taking the precepts as the teacher", which was very troublesome. How can you be a teacher? That's just a standardized system. How can it be a mentor? Isn't that ridiculous? You don't eat meat or tell lies. Is to prepare tuition and find a real tutor to study. The tantric Buddhism is called "cultivating food". Only when you are full can you find a real "awakened person" to be a teacher.
Nowadays, people always think that it is great to keep a few precepts. They looked at the Buddha's face and said what the Buddha said. They don't like anyone, so they can say whoever they catch. They are arrogant and neurotic. This is not practicing Buddhism, but it is obviously bullshit! To really practice Buddhism, we should "think empty" and not think empty. If we can let go of our delusion and the Monkey King, our ape, we will naturally practice Buddhism, as simple as that.
Why is breathing so important in practice? Because breathing is closely related to our thinking-especially inhalation, it will inevitably affect the central nervous system; The other five (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and skin) all rely on the brain's thinking to distinguish and think, and all need to act through the Italian root (that is, the brain). Therefore, if the Italian root stands aside and the other five roots stand aside, you can go empty and have a vague nature. If you want to be delusional, your mouth and nose can't breathe. The teeth, tongue and sinuses in your mouth and nose are all big nerves. Breathing is bound to stimulate your mind, so you have to stop.
The highest state of precept is stop, and Lohan can achieve the purpose of extinction, which is the positive result of practicing Buddhism. Monks pay attention to sticking a chicken feather on their noses. Only when the chicken feathers don't move can they be called "concentration". When the nose breathes, it can't be fixed. Because the central nervous system is active, the acquired delusion begins to fly again.
◎ The breath is harmonious, and naturally you can't get in, get out, and get out. It is for the sake of fetal interest, for the sake of god's interest, for the sake of really cursing the kettle, for the sake of bringing back the dead, for the sake of Xuanzang's door, the root of heaven and earth. At this time, the gas is like a stamen, like a fetal cell, and the natural gas fumigates the camp guard, and the tail is stabbed by the spine and rises to the mud pill. Get off the magpie bridge, cross the heavy building, arrive at Jianggong, and land in Zhongdiantian. This is for the river car to start moving. -"Zhang Sanfeng Avenue, Mystery, Straight Talk"
This stop, to be honest, is just a road. What is the real avenue? Is the avenue, you have to practice inner alchemy. Tomorrow I'll give you a concrete talk about the cultivation method of Neidan. In fact, practicing Neidan is too consistent with practicing Buddhism. Zhang Boduan Zhang Ziyang, a real person, is the fifth ancestor of the Dragon Sect of Taoism. He once said: the cultivation methods of Buddhism are too consistent with those of Taoism, and the more advanced, the more consistent. But in the initial practice, Taoism was more detailed and specific, and Buddhism was more general.
For example, Taoists talk about refining gas, refining spirit, refining spirit and restoring emptiness, and refining emptiness and Taoism are combined step by step, especially in the first two stages of these four stages; Buddhism, on the other hand, is very general, and it is too general to talk about warmth, forbearance and the world. But in the later advanced stage, Buddhism was more specific and Taoism was more general. It is not that they are different, but that the discourse system and training methods used are slightly different.
The Diamond Sutra says, "The sages are different because of inaction."
The so-called "there are saints in the East and saints in the West, which is also, which is also." Like Buddhism and Taoism, in the primary stage, they all focus on doing good, and they all "repair food." As far as the people in China are concerned, the people who really practice Buddhism and monasticism are actually very consistent and coincide with each other. Many differences, some of which are really caused by the differences in discourse systems or ways of thinking between India and China, are, to put it bluntly, artificial and artificially added by later generations. The so-called sectarianism has nothing to do with truth.
◎ Zhang Boduan in the Northern Song Dynasty was the founder of "Southern Sect" in Taoism. The Five Needles written by him and the Book of Changes and Tong Can Qi written by Wei Boyang in the Eastern Han Dynasty are both "kings of single crystals" and enjoy a high reputation. In the Five True Chapters, he pointed out that Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism are "three points and Taoism is one". He said: "First, lure him to practice with the lifeblood of the immortal, then broaden his magical power with the buddhas, and finally dispel his illusion with truth as the consciousness and return to the source of emptiness." Advocate the unity of the three religions, in order to understand the wonderful purpose of the great Dan, and oppose the three factions' "specialization, mutual right and wrong" and "can not be mixed and belong to the same goal."
So let's not argue. Road builders don't argue with others. Those statements that "I practice Buddhism and you practice monasticism, so I am taller than you" are all against the law. The so-called "equality between law and law", don't argue, practice seriously, and don't argue about right and wrong. After a long time, you will naturally prove what is right and what is wrong. This is also the truth of being a person who participates in monasticism.
Treating diseases with "six-character prescription"
The method of breathing is not only important for our cultivation, but also for a healthy life, which is explained in detail in our handout.
At present, the State Sports Commission and the Ministry of Health are promoting four ancient laws, namely "six-character formula", "Yijinjing", "Baduanjin" and "Wuqinxi". But it is a pity that the four methods advocated by the state at present are not the spontaneous production of monasticism, but gymnastics-in fact, these four methods are the external kung fu produced by practitioners of ancient Buddhism and Taoism during their internal alchemy. So later, they organized a large group to promote it in France, and France didn't like it because it just liked it.
These four techniques have a special relationship with our breathing, which is the "six-character tactic"; The "six-character formula" was popularized by Tao Zhongjing or invented by him. He used the pronunciation of six characters to treat various diseases, which is very effective, so it has been passed down to today.
The first word "ha" in the "six-character formula" is used to treat cardiovascular diseases by exhaling and opening the voice;
If the liver meridian is diseased, it is called the liver system. According to our statement, it also includes diseases such as human endocrine system, and the word "shh" is used;
To treat spleen and stomach diseases, use "shout", which can be silent or not;
For those with lung diseases and respiratory diseases, "hiss" is used to treat lung diseases, cough and other diseases;
Kidney meridian disease, kidney deficiency, use "blowing".
There are upper, middle and lower triple energizers in human body. Upper jiao belongs to respiratory system, middle jiao belongs to spleen and stomach and liver system, and lower jiao belongs to urinary and reproductive system. If triple energizer is sick, it is very effective to use "suction".
◎ During air circulation, it is inhaled into the nose and exhaled through the mouth. It is called long-term interest to draw on it. Internal qi one, external qi six. Internal qi sucks both. Exhale six, that is, blowing, shouting, hey (sucking), oh, shh, shh, are all vented. There is no such thing as mortal breath. If you want to breathe for a long time, you can blow it when it is cold (corresponding to kidney water) and breathe it when it is warm (corresponding to spleen soil), so you can cure the disease. Blow to remove heat, breathe to remove wind, smell (inhale) to remove annoyance (corresponding to triple energizer), exhale (corresponding to heart fire), shush to transform qi (corresponding to liver wood) and shush to relieve extreme pressure (corresponding to lung gold). -"Seven Signs of Yun Qi"
The "six-character formula" is very good for us ordinary people to practice meditation. If you are tired, you can even keep silent. Sometimes when I practice, I will also use the six-character formula to stimulate the pituitary gland in the "total orifices" and read "shout" with vibrato, which can stimulate the pituitary gland and the effect will be better; Those with bad lungs say "hiss", those with kidney is not good say "blow" and those with triple energizer say "suck". It's simple. You can use this method when you have nothing to do, but you can't practice for a long time. If it takes too long, the wound will get angry. It shouldn't take more than half an hour. This method is very famous in ancient times for your reference.
