The university town campus is divided into living quarters and teaching quarters. The living area is divided into four dormitory areas: Plum Garden, Orchid Garden, Bamboo Garden and Chrysanthemum Garden. There are more than 20 seven-story dormitory buildings, each with six students. The dormitory is equipped with independent bathrooms, balconies, central air conditioning, independent desks and other facilities, and hot water supply. There is a canteen near each dormitory area, and students can eat in different canteens according to their own needs and preferences.
Expansion: Introduction of Guangzhou University
Guangzhou University is a comprehensive university named after Guangzhou, an important national central city. It was merged for a short time in 2000. Although it is a young university, its school-running history can be traced back to the private Guangzhou University in the Republic of China. Today, Guangzhou University has a tradition of running a school for more than 90 years and has developed into a high-level university in Guangzhou.
The scale of running a school is relatively large. There are "one school and three parks" in the existing University Town, Guihuagang and Huangpu Research Institute/Graduate School. The campus environment is beautiful and the hardware facilities are first-class. There are 24 professional colleges, covering ten disciplines such as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, management and art.
In terms of teachers, we have a team of high-quality teachers with noble morality, reasonable structure, exquisite knowledge and full of vitality. The teaching staff includes four full-time academicians of the two academies, full-time foreign academicians 1 person, five distinguished academicians, four double-hired academicians, academicians of the International Academy of Astronautics 1 person, academicians of the Eurasian Academy of Sciences 1 person, and foreign academicians of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences 1 person.
As a non-985/2 1 1 university, it has also achieved absolute Excellence in discipline construction, with the advantages of complete disciplines and strong comprehensiveness. Now it has a key construction discipline system consisting of 6 provincial high-level universities, 14 provincial key disciplines, 16 municipal key disciplines and key supporting disciplines.
Six disciplines, including engineering, computer science, chemistry, materials science, environment/ecology, and social science, entered the top of ESI global 1%. In the fourth evaluation of Afghanistan by the Ministry of Education, there are 16 subjects on the list, among which civil engineering got B+, mathematics got B+ and statistics got B-.
