In August of 20001year, Governor Xu inspected Yunnan University and put forward the task of building a software college. Since then, Governor Xu made it clear at the 56th executive meeting of the provincial government and the special meeting of the provincial education leading group that he would strongly support Yunnan University in applying for the National Model Software Institute. With the strong support of the provincial party committee and government, the Ministry of Education and the State Planning Commission formally approved Yunnan University as a pilot demonstration software college in February 2006.

On June 65438+February 65438+February 6, 2002, the foundation stone was laid for the Institute of Software.

On August 28th, 2003, the first-phase campus construction of Software College was completed and accepted.

On September 8, 2003, the Institute of Software moved into the new campus as a whole.

In August 2004, according to the actual situation of school development, the school decided and reported to the provincial government for approval. On the basis of the construction of Software College, we will further increase investment and build it into a new campus of Yunnan University, named Yangpu Campus.

In September, 2004, 2004 undergraduates of Yunnan University moved to Yangpu Campus as a whole, and the management committee of Yangpu Campus of Yunnan University was established.

In May 2005, the Working Committee of Yangpu Campus of Yunnan University was established, and two workstations, Nanyuan and Zi Yuan, were established.

In September 2005, the relocation of the laboratory in Yangpu Campus was completed.

In August 2005, the first military training for college students was held in Yangpu Campus. In 65438+February of the same year, the track and field and fire games for teachers and students of our school were held in Yangpu Campus for the first time.

In June 2006, the Communist Youth League Committee, the International Liaison Department and the Marxist-Leninist Department moved to Yangpu Campus. In 65438+February of the same year, the undergraduate teaching evaluation of the school ended, and the construction of study style in Yangpu Campus was well received.

In May, 2008, the 8th Mayflower National College Students' Campus Art Show ended successfully in Yangpu Campus.

In February 2009, with the approval of the Yunnan provincial government, Yangpu Campus of Yunnan University was allocated to Kunming College with compensation.

On July 20 10, Yangpu Campus of Yunnan University was transferred to Kunming College as a whole. At this point, the history of Dayun Yangpu Campus came to an end.
