Brief introduction of Lingnan University in Korea
Lingnan University was founded on September 22nd, 1947 by park chung-hee, the 3rd, 5th-9th president of South Korea. The current President park geun-hye is the eldest daughter of former South Korean President park chung-hee and the former president of Lingnan University. Therefore, it has always been called the Royal University of Korea. The school was formed by the merger of Daegu College (founded in 1947) and Qingqiu College (founded in 1950). The Cui Shi family in Gyeongju (now Gyeongju City, Gyeongju, South Korea) in the Korean era had 12 generations, spanning 300 years from the beginning of 17 century to the middle of the 20th century. At that time, Cui Shi's family status was prominent, and Baishan Chamber of Commerce was established to provide independent funds. 1950, Cui Shi's family donated all their money to establish the predecessors of Lingnan University, Daqiu University and Qingqiu University. Since then, the Cui Shi family in Gyeongju has withdrawn from the historical stage. The school has two campuses, Daegu Campus and Qingshan Campus. Qingshan City, where the main campus is located, is a neighbor of Daegu Metropolitan City, No.280 Daxue Road, Qingshan City, Gyeongsangbuk-do, with developed transportation.
