Introduction to School of Government Administration, Peking University
The School of Government Administration of Peking University was established in February 2006, with Professor Luo as its president. The college aims to build a world-class institution of higher learning: based on its own country, looking at the world, seeking truth and being pragmatic, pursuing Excellence, and striving to become an important platform for scientific research, teaching, training, consultation and international exchange in China's political science, public policy and public management; Strive to cultivate leading talents in the academic and practical fields of public utilities and related disciplines for the country.

The college consists of six departments: political science, administrative management, public economy, public policy, political economy and urban and regional management. There are more than 50 full-time teachers in the college, of whom about 1/5 holds doctoral degrees from foreign universities. Teachers' academic backgrounds span politics, economics, law, sociology, history, engineering, information technology, etc. Many of them are consultants of government departments. Many teachers were rated as "Top Ten Teachers" of Peking University.

The College has its own independent Liao Kaiyuan Building, which provides first-class facilities such as scientific research, teaching, books, conferences, videos and simultaneous interpretation.

In terms of scientific research, the College advocates both academic research and policy research, and the research topics of the research centers/institutes under the College involve international, national, social/enterprise and other academic and policy issues. Peking University Institute of Political Development and Government Management, a key research base of the Ministry of Education, is mainly composed of university teachers. The research fund of the college is rich, and it is leading in the field of humanities and social sciences in Peking University. The Peking University-Lincoln Land Institute Joint Research Center is also located in the college building. These centers/institutes are platforms for university teachers to conduct interdisciplinary research and academic exchanges.

In terms of personnel training, the teaching philosophy of the college is broad foundation and fine specialty. MPA professional degree teaching in college pays special attention to integrating theory with practice and broadens students' interdisciplinary vision. In addition to the MPA professional degree (including the MPA joint project with the National School of Administration), the college also provides a variety of academic degree education, including three undergraduate programs, seven master programs and four doctoral programs, and provides millions of scholarships for outstanding students every year. Peking University-Yale University undergraduate joint project office is also located in the college building. Continuing education, especially the training of senior government leaders, is also the focus of university teaching.

In terms of foreign cooperation and exchange, the College has extensive contacts with domestic government departments, and holds the Peking University Public Policy Forum, and regularly invites senior government officials to give lectures at the College. Internationally, the College has substantial cooperation and exchanges with internationally renowned universities in North America, Europe and Asia (such as Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, Princeton University, London School of Economics and Political Science, Paris School of Political Science and Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy), and invited leading figures from governments, enterprises and academia from various countries to give lectures at the College through the Peking University International Forum on Public Policy.
