Xinxiang Medical College is an independent undergraduate college of western medicine in Henan Province. It was selected into the national plan 1 1 1 and was supported by the basic capacity building project of 100 universities in the central and western regions during the 13th Five-Year Plan. The school is located in Xinxiang City, Henan Province, and the current principal is Ren Wenjie. The school motto is "Mingde is knowledgeable and loves practicality".

As of September, 20021year, the college has 22 teaching colleges, 137 18 faculty members (including 5 clinical colleges). There are 35 undergraduate majors, featuring clinical medicine, medical laboratory science, nursing science and pharmacy, covering seven disciplines: medicine, science, management, engineering, literature, law and teaching.

First-class discipline master authorization point 12, professional master authorization point 10. The origin of the school can be traced back to 1896, when Luo, a British Canadian and doctor of medicine, opened a western medicine clinic in Weihui, the ancient city, and 1922, when the nursing school of Huimin Hospital began medical education.

The school, formerly known as Pingyuan Medical College, was established in 1950. Since then, the school has experienced the development stages of North China Second Medical College, Jixian Medical College, Jixian Health School, Xinxiang Medical College and Jixian Medical College.

1962 was renamed as Yubei medical college; 1982 was upgraded to undergraduate course and named Xinxiang Medical College. By the end of 2022, China University of Medical Sciences ranked 3 1 in Soft Science 2022. As of May 2023, the school has 22 teaching colleges and 35 undergraduate majors.
