The name of Fudan University is taken from "Sun and Moon shine brightly, Dan Fudan Xi" in The Great Biography of Shangshu. Founded in 1905, formerly known as Fudan University, 19 17 was named Fudan University. It is the first institution of higher learning independently established by the people of China. Fudan University is a national comprehensive key institution of higher learning during the period of socialist revolution and construction. The school is located in Shanghai. Formerly known as Fudan University founded by Ma Yu/KLOC-0 in Wusong in 1905, [1] is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education and the Central Government of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a "world-class university" and a key university under the national "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project". The school was selected into the National Everest Plan, Strong Foundation Plan,11plan, 20 1 1 plan, excellent doctoral education training plan and excellent legal talents training plan, and it is a member of the Pacific Rim University Alliance and the Nine Schools Alliance.
198 1 year1month, approved by the State Council, the school became the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China. In 2000, Fudan University merged with Shanghai Medical University to form a new Fudan University.
