The basic point of undergraduate teaching in our college is always to improve the teaching quality. The admission rate of undergraduate postgraduate entrance examination is as high as 40%, and the employment rate is as high as 96%. A large number of engineering and technical personnel with knowledge of chemistry and chemical technology have been trained, who can engage in engineering design, technology development, production technology management and scientific research in chemical industry, oil refining, metallurgy, energy, light industry, medicine, environmental protection, military industry and other industries.

The research projects of the School of Chemical Engineering are mainly in applied electrochemistry, computational chemistry, inorganic functional materials, catalytic reaction engineering, textile chemicals and dyeing and finishing technology. He presided over 5 scientific research projects of the National Natural Fund, 8 provincial and ministerial projects, participated in 2 national "863" projects and accepted more than 20 projects entrusted by enterprises. In recent years, * * * has published more than 10 kinds of books and teaching materials, and published more than 300 scientific research papers, of which 130 was included in SCEI, and won 7 awards at or above the provincial and ministerial levels.

In 2009, the discipline of chemical engineering and technology was approved by the state as a doctoral program construction discipline, the discipline of applied chemistry was a key discipline in Shandong Province, chemical engineering and technology was a brand specialty in Shandong Province, and metallurgical engineering was the only discipline in Shandong Province to train metallurgical talents with bachelor degree or above.
