Xiamen Huaxia College was established at the initiative of Cai, then chairman of Xiamen CPPCC, and was funded by Xiamen CPPCC. 1993. It is a new private non-profit socialist university supported by Xiamen Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. The school implements the principal responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors.
