Robert koch's main achievements
In confirming the pathogen of the disease, he first confirmed that Bacillus anthracis was the pathogen of anthrax, and reported the pathogen of tuberculosis-Mycobacterium tuberculosis in 1882, and obtained its pure culture. The robert koch School founded by him discovered many kinds of pathogenic bacteria in the last 20 years of19th century. Robert koch Institute of Health of the University of Berlin and Pasteur Institute of Paris were both international microbiology research centers at that time. He won the 1905 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for a series of research on tuberculosis.
