China University Mooc teachers are highly involved. How did they do it?
As we know, a large open online course has a large number of students, so it is difficult to interact with teachers and students, and it is almost impossible to take care of all students. In this way, the communication and answering questions between teachers and students will inevitably be less immediate than in traditional teaching, and the opportunities for communication between students and teachers are shared.

The overall teaching atmosphere still cannot achieve the effect of traditional universities. What students need is education, which should be comprehensive. Students need not only course knowledge, but also the needs of expanding contacts, trying to live independently, participating in community activities, social experience and so on.

In addition, how to ensure the quality of large-scale open online courses is still a difficult problem. Large-scale open online courses have developed rapidly, but their teaching quality is more or less doubtful. Compared with traditional teaching, large-scale open online courses are too easy to cheat, which is also a common problem in online education.

One more thing, the huge number of students may lead to excellent students being buried. In traditional teaching, the relationship between teachers and students is closer, and teachers can fully understand the learning situation of students, and then teach students in accordance with their aptitude and give targeted guidance. However, in the large-scale open online course classroom, it is impossible to make a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of learners, and it is also possible that excellent students will be buried without encouraging attention.

Finally, the soaring dropout rate is also a phenomenon of large-scale open online courses. The imperfect exit mechanism is the root of the disease. In my opinion, the imperfection of the withdrawal mechanism has brought trouble to the course, especially in the aspects of the number of registered students, the passing rate, the excellent rate and the evaluation of the popularity of the course. Think about it carefully, will there be a situation in which the water army will boost the popularity of the course for a while, win the goodwill of the students, earn the popularity of the students, and then let the water army quit halfway? This is also worth considering. There is a solution to this problem, and my humble opinion is that a "costly exit mechanism" can be formulated. Students need to pay a certain deposit before registering for the course. As long as the students complete the course (subject to the study time, regardless of whether the course passes or not), the deposit will be returned to the students, which may involve a third-party platform like Alipay. When students drop out of the course, the safety fund will be transferred to charity. There are many solutions to this problem, and the above is just my subjective idea.
