Because of this, the choice of university presidents affects the fate of the school to a certain extent. Due to age and other reasons, some universities usually have short-term vacancies for presidents, but the vacancy time is generally not too long.

Therefore, South China University of Technology has higher requirements for principals and needs to be "carefully selected". This is also the reason why I think South China University of Technology has no principal so far.
