At the initiative of Professor Qian Rongkun, the Department of Finance initiated the Nankai-York mode of training MBA students jointly by China and York University in Canada, and then established a doctoral program in international finance between China and Canada, borrowing foreign academic strength to develop international finance specialty.

1984, the finance department has set up insurance specialty and rural finance specialty successively. There are more than 30 teachers in the Finance Department, of whom more than 30% have senior professional titles and more than 80% have doctoral degrees. Since the financial department was rebuilt 27 years ago, it has trained more than 3000 undergraduates and 1000 doctors and masters for the society.
