Changsha Jiaotong University, located in Changsha, was formerly known as Changsha Navigation Engineering School founded by the Ministry of Communications 1956+0 in June. In June 1958, it was renamed as Hunan Maritime School; in June 1960, it merged with Hunan Highway School and was transformed into Hunan Jiaotong University; in June 19 1 it was changed into Hunan Transportation School. 1978 with the approval of the State Council, Hunan jiaotong school was transformed into Changsha jiaotong college, which was directly led and managed by the Ministry of communications.
