At the just-concluded national water-saving conference, Vice Minister of Water Resources E Jingping pointed out that by 2030, the per capita water resources in China will be reduced from less than 2,200 cubic meters at present to 1700 to 1900 cubic meters, and the required water consumption is close to the exploitable water resources, so the water shortage problem will become more prominent.
China is a country with severe drought and water shortage. The total amount of fresh water resources is 29 trillion cubic meters, accounting for 6% of the global water resources, ranking fourth in the world after Brazil, Russia and Canada, but the per capita water resources are less than 2,200 cubic meters, which is only one quarter of the world average and one fifth of the United States. It is one of the countries with the scarcest water resources per capita in the world.
At present, there are1200 million people in the world facing the pressure of moderate to high water shortage, 80 countries are short of water, and drinking water for 2 billion people is not guaranteed. China is one of the water-deficient countries, and its per capita fresh water resources account for a quarter of the world's per capita, ranking 109 in the world, and it is one of the 13 countries with severe water shortage in the world. More than half of the more than 600 cities in China are short of water to varying degrees, of which11is seriously short of water. The total urban water shortage in China is 6 billion cubic meters.
Saving water is a protracted war for mankind.
Maybe you will say, "Saving water is the government's business. Even if I have the heart to do it, I don't have the ability. " In fact, not only those vigorous events are called water saving, but also there are many things we can do around us. We turn off the tap when we see it is not closed tightly; Use a cup to receive water when brushing your teeth to prevent running water; Wash your face and footbath; Tell your parents the money-saving tips on the radio. These are all things you can do to save water.
Don't think that Mother Earth is still full of energy. She's losing strength now! As long as we join hands and work together, we will certainly make our only mother earth healthier, younger and stronger.
