Ceng Zi participated in the compilation of The Analects of Confucius, and wrote books such as Da Xue, Xiao Jing and Ten Articles of Ceng Zi.
(505 BC-435 BC) was born in Nanwucheng, Shandong Province at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period. He is a famous thinker in China and one of the late disciples of Confucius. He studied under his father Ceng Dian and was an important representative of Confucianism.
Ceng Zi advocates Confucianism with filial piety and faithfulness as the core, and his political view of introspection, self-cultivation and filial piety still has extremely valuable social significance and practical value.
Ceng Zi occupies an important position in the development history of Confucianism, and is honored as a "saint" by later generations. He is one of the four partners who deserve to enjoy the Confucius Temple.
Ceng Zi's life: The 25th son of the Yellow Emperor was named Changyi, Changyi was born in Zhuan Xu, Zhuan Xu was born in Gun, and Gun was born in Yu. The Xia Dynasty, the first hereditary dynasty in the history of China, was established. The capital of the Xia Dynasty was established in Yangcheng, which is now the southeast of Dengfeng County, Henan Province. Shao Kang established his second son, Qu Lie, as Viscount Kun, and established a mountain state in Kun, from which the surname Zeng originated. After Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties, Yan was destroyed by Ju in the Spring and Autumn Period, that is, 567 years ago. The prince of Wu went out to Lu and settled in Nanwucheng. Later generations took the surname "Tan" and withdrew from the city (Yi), indicating that they would stay in the old city and never forget their ancestors, calling them "Zeng" and their great-grandchildren.

In 494 BC, Zeng Shen often studied poetry and books with his father, which was called "studying hard at his desk". In 492 BC (three years in Lu Aigong), "I was plowing under Mount Tai, and I couldn't return for ten days in heavy rain and snow. I thought of my parents and wrote Song of Liangshan. In 490 BC (the fifth year of Lu Aigong), 16-year-old Confucius once visited his teacher. He was diligent and studious, and got a biography of Confucius.
In 482 BC (13th year of Lu Aigong), Yan Hui, a disciple of Confucius, died, and Zeng Shen became the main heir of Confucius' theory.
In 480 BC (the fifteenth year of Lu Aigong), Confucius called and told him, "I am consistent in my way." Zeng Zi said, "Only the master's way is loyalty and forgiveness." Confucius personally awarded Zeng Shen the "University".
