The School of Mechanical Engineering of Tongji University has seven research institutes, including the Institute of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, the Institute of Mechanical Design and Theory, the Institute of Modern Manufacturing Technology, the Institute of Refrigeration and Thermal Energy Engineering, the Institute of HVAC and Gas, the Institute of Thermal Energy and Environmental Engineering, and the Institute of Industrial Engineering, as well as three directly affiliated units, namely, the Industrial Engineering Teaching and Research Section, the Engineering Graphics Teaching and Research Section and the Mechanical Basic Experiment Center. It has 6 large-scale professional laboratories, the Institute of Environmental Sanitation Machinery of Tongji University of the Ministry of Construction, the Sino-French Gas Training Center of Tongji University of the Ministry of Construction and the Shanghai Construction Robot Engineering Technology Research Center.
The School of Mechanical Engineering has 2 academicians of China Academy of Engineering, 365,438+0 professors (including 27 doctoral supervisors) and 54 associate professors. Most young and middle-aged teachers have doctoral degrees. The college has also hired many well-known professors, scholars and experts at home and abroad as part-time, consultants and honorary professors. There are more than 2,000 undergraduates, 500 postgraduates, 90 doctoral students and 4 postdoctoral students/kloc-0.
There are 5 doctoral programs and 8 related master programs in the School of Mechanical Engineering, including the first-class discipline of mechanical engineering, postdoctoral mobile station of mechanical engineering, postdoctoral mobile station of heating, gas supply, ventilation and air conditioning engineering, mechanical design and theory, mechanical and electronic engineering, mechanical manufacturing and automation, thermal energy engineering, heating, gas supply, ventilation and air conditioning engineering. It has formed the integrated development of machinery, electricity, liquid and information technology and the discipline characteristics of energy utilization and new energy development, and trained a large number of senior talents in mechanical design, manufacturing, development, application research, operation management and sales of heat energy and HVAC technology.
