Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a national "double-class" construction university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province, a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, a key construction university in Jiangsu Province, and a high-level university construction university in Jiangsu Province.
It is the traditional medicine cooperation center of the World Health Organization (WHO), the international acupuncture training center determined by the Ministry of Health, the first batch of authorized units for doctor's and master's degrees in China, the national key protection unit for ancient books, the national continuing education base for Chinese medicine teachers, and the national university for building high-level universities and implementing graduate programs.
The national key discipline project, the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of the national excellent doctor (Chinese medicine) education and training plan, the national talent training mode innovation experimental zone, and the scholarship receiving institution of the China Municipal Government are the founding members of the world-class Chinese medicine university construction alliance and the Yangtze River Delta medical education alliance.
Founded in 1954, the school is one of the earliest institutions of higher learning of traditional Chinese medicine in China, which has gone through such historical periods as Jiangsu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jiangsu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jiangsu New Medical College and Nanjing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (after the establishment was restored). 1995, renamed Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. From 2065438 to September 2007, Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was selected as a national "double-class" construction university.
As of 2065438+September 2009, the school has 33 undergraduate majors; 3 national key disciplines and 2 national key (cultivation) disciplines; There are 4 first-level disciplines and 1 professional degree doctoral degree authorization points,1/first-level discipline master degree and 5 professional master degree authorization points, and 3 post-doctoral research stations; There are more than 20,000 students of all kinds.
As of July 2020, the school has three campuses: Xianlin, Hanzhongmen and Taizhou.
