Non-English majors have the highest CET-6 and English majors have the highest CET-8.

English proficiency is mainly divided into Band 4 and Band 6. TEM-4 and Grade 8.

English grades are divided in order, and there are the following kinds of college students' English grade exams:

College practical English test is aimed at junior college students, and it is divided into Grade A and Grade B (also known as College English Grade II and III).

Then there is the National English Test (PETS) for the whole society, which is divided into one to five grades. Grade B is equivalent to primary school graduation, grade I is equivalent to junior high school graduation, grade II is equivalent to senior high school graduation, grade III is equivalent to grade IV, grade IV is equivalent to grade VI, and grade V is equivalent to grade IV.
