Located in Qinzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Beibu Gulf University is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning focusing on engineering, management and management. It is an "application-oriented undergraduate university" project unit established by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the State Oceanic Administration and planned by the State in the 13th Five-Year Plan.

The school formerly known as Qinzhou Normal School was founded in 1973. Qinzhou Normal University was established 1982, and Guangxi Normal University Qinzhou Branch was added 1985. 1988 Qinzhou Teachers College was renamed Qinzhou Education College, and it was transformed into Qinzhou Teachers College in 199 1 year.

In 2004, Qinzhou Normal School for Nationalities (including Qinzhou Branch of Guangxi Radio and TV University) founded in 1906 was merged into Qinzhou Normal College.
