Anhui Jianzhu University, referred to as Anjianda for short, is a university approved by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the People's Government of Anhui Province. Its predecessor was Anhui Institute of Architecture and Industry, which was founded in 1958. The school is located in Hefei City, Anhui Province, and it is the only multidisciplinary university in Anhui Province specializing in civil engineering. Mr. Guo Moruo once wrote the name of the school and enjoyed the reputation of "the cradle of architectural talents in Wanjiang".
An Jianda is an excellent unit for evaluating undergraduate teaching level in institutions of higher learning of the Ministry of Education, a doctor's degree construction unit awarded by Anhui Province, a member of the National Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program, and a member of the National Employment Alliance of Architecture Colleges (ACEA). It is also the main institution to study and inherit Huizhou architecture, one of the schools of ancient architecture in China.
Anjian University has two campuses, the south campus and the north campus, covering an area of 153 1 mu, with nearly 3 million books. The school has 1 1 secondary colleges and 59 undergraduate majors, covering seven disciplines: engineering, management, science, art, literature, law and economics. Full-time undergraduate students 17000, graduate students 1000.
