Kyoto University of the Arts is a private university established in Shizuoka, Kyoto, Japan. It is also the most comprehensive university in Japanese art, and is deeply favored by art students. The school's predecessor was the Fujikawa Foreign Cutting Institute founded by fashion designer Yanko Fujikawa in 1934.
