The Cross-Strait Model United Nations Conference (CSMUN) is a national model United Nations conference founded and hosted by Xiamen University Model United Nations Association.

20 14 The Model United Nations Conference on both sides of the Taiwan Straits was held in Xiamen on May 9, 2000. About 500 delegates, observers and instructors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and overseas once again gathered in Ludao, and attended this grand event together. The conference was hosted by the School of International Relations of Xiamen University, the Siming District Committee of the Communist Youth League of Xiamen, hosted by the Model United Nations Association of Xiamen University, and supported by all walks of life in Xiamen and Xiamen University.

The conference opened on May 9, 20 14 at the Science and Art Center of Xiamen University. Wu Daguang, vice president of Xiamen University, and Lu, member of the Standing Committee of Siming District Committee of Xiamen City, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Zhang Mingqing, Vice President of ARATS and Dean of School of Journalism and Communication, Xiamen University; Zhang Shanbin, Member of the Standing Committee of Siming District Committee and Minister of United Front Work Department of Xiamen University; Huang, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of Xiamen University School of International Relations; Wang Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Committee of Xiamen University School of International Relations, Deputy Director of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Xiamen University; and Yu Zi, Deputy Director of Admissions Office of Xiamen University.

CSMUN 20 14 provided delegates with a better academic and conference experience than in previous years. After careful planning, the organizing committee set up nine committees, including the Special Political and Decolonization Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, the United Nations Security Council, the United Nations Economic and Social Council, the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Human Rights Council, the World Health Organization, the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Committee, the Four-Party Talks and the Main Press Center, covering hot topics such as the United Nations, the Millennium Development Goals, the situation in the Taiwan Strait and Northeast Asia. At the same time, the General Assembly also designed crisis linkage within the framework of the United Nations system (General Assembly, Security Council and Human Rights Council). The venue, welcome dinner and social activities of this conference are all located in Crowne Plaza Panji Hotel in Xiamen's bustling business district, which provides an extraordinary meeting experience for the delegates.

20 13 Model United Nations Congress across the Taiwan Strait

The first Model United Nations Conference across the Taiwan Straits was held in Xiamen from May 6 to 2, 2006, which attracted more than 500 representatives from Chinese mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province and overseas. In addition, the conference also gathered members of the presidium from Tsinghua University, Peking University, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Beijing Foreign Studies University and other well-known universities at home and abroad.

CSMUC 2013 inherits the tradition of Xiamen University Model United Nations Association and presents an unforgettable feast for all participants at the highest academic level. The conference consists of nine committees, including the UN Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC), the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Committee (ECFA), the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Main Press Center (MPC), the UN Special Political and Decolonization Committee (SPECPOL), the UN Commission on Population and Development (UNCPD) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). All committees carry out academic work under the coordination of the Academic Department of the Organizing Committee and the Academic Affairs Director. In addition, Xiamen Hotel, the venue of this conference, also provided an extraordinary experience for delegates and tutors.

20 13 The Cross-Strait Model United Nations Conference opened in the Science and Art Center of Xiamen University on May 13. The meeting received a congratulatory letter from Zhu Chongshi, President of Xiamen University. Zhu Chongshi congratulated the organizing committee of the conference and affirmed Xiamen University's model United Nations activities. Zhang Mingqing, vice president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, dean of the School of Journalism and Communication of Xiamen University, Ji Yuhua, dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Xiamen University, and Chen Huaifeng, secretary of the Youth League Committee of Xiamen University, attended the opening ceremony. Ji Yuhua made a keynote speech for the conference, and the Secretary-General of the conference and the chairmen of the committees also made speeches at the opening ceremony. More than 600 organizing committee staff, presidium members, instructors, delegates and volunteers attended the opening ceremony. 20 13 Xiamen University Inter-school Model United Nations Conference

20 13 Xiamen university inter-school model United nations conference was held in Xiamen from 20 13 to June 19 to 20. Representatives from Fujian Normal University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Fujian Institute of Engineering, Xiamen No.1 Middle School, Xiamen Shuangshi Middle School, Xiamen No.6 Middle School, Jimei Middle School, Science and Technology Middle School Affiliated to Xiamen University and Fuzhou No.2 Middle School attended the meeting.

The meeting consists of two committees: the United Nations Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly. Among them, the Security Council is a crisis committee and the General Assembly is a regular committee, both of which discuss the Syrian issue. The delegates also showed excellent speech level and professional background knowledge in the meeting.

The organizers of this conference are Xiamen University School of International Relations and Xiamen University Model United Nations Association. As the organizer, the organizing committee of the conference has made important contributions to the holding of this conference. Its main members include Secretary-General Ke Wenjun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General Han, and Academic Director.

This conference is dedicated to improving the academic level of the delegates, promoting the development of Xiamen Model Association, and promoting the popularization and specialization of model association activities in South China.
