Yantai University is located in Yantai, a national historical and cultural city and the best charming city in China. It is a key comprehensive university in Shandong Province and a high-level university construction university in Shandong Province. The school was founded in 1984, relying on Peking University and Tsinghua University. The school faces the Yellow Sea in the east and Qingshan in the west, with beautiful environment and pleasant climate. It is the coastal university with the longest coastline and the closest to the sea in China.

At present, there are 15 national first-class specialty construction sites, 17 provincial first-class specialty construction sites, 4 national specialties and 14 provincial brand specialties. At present, the Science and Education Park of Yantai University has started construction in Yantai Development Zone with a planned area of 1.200 mu and a planned construction area of 670,000 square meters.
