Are Japanese universities better than China?
Japanese famous universities are more difficult to test, easier to enter and harder to graduate than China.

1. Japanese universities are divided into national universities and private universities. Japanese national universities emphasize academic research, while Japanese private universities emphasize social practice. The two types of schools have different styles and advantages.

2. At present, there are 86 national universities, 86 public universities and 603 private universities in Japan, accounting for 775 universities. Judging from the number of students, public universities in China account for only 5% of the total because of the small number of schools, strict enrollment and low tuition fees.

3. There is no official ranking of private universities in Japan, which is roughly based on the ranking of national universities and an impression of Japanese universities, combined with academic ranking and employment level, to reflect the university rank in the eyes of Japanese. In addition, each institution has different advantageous disciplines, such as Faculty of Law of Tokyo University, Faculty of Economics of hitotsubashi university, Faculty of Literature of Tohoku University and Department of Foreign Languages of Osaka University.
