Shanxi University is not a double-class university. Shanxi University, located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, is an ancient cultural capital with a history of more than 2,500 years. Its predecessor was Shanxi University Hall, which was founded in 1902. Its long history can be traced back to Lisan Academy in Ming Dynasty, Jinyang Academy and Lingde Academy in Qing Dynasty. Shanxi University is a school jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanxi Provincial People's Government, jointly established by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, a member of the "one province, one school" national key university construction university alliance in the central and western regions, and a collaborative meeting of nine local comprehensive universities in China.
